Winter sports
Kanin, at Bovec, 24 km from Kamno, this year an extra
slope and lift have been added, there are now 6 (longer) lifts.
From the 1st of January 2007 a cable car will link with the
ski resort Sella Nevea in Italy. Due to the relatively high
altitude (2200 m) the ski pistes are open from the 1st of
December up to the 1st of May! The skiing here is for more
advanced skiers. The views are fantastic. Did you ever see
the sea from the ski slope?
Črni Vrh at Cerkno, 40 km, a relative low ski due
to the snow machines snow is certain. They developed it the
last year to a very modern, good equipped ski area with modern
lifts, a children ski pool and creche and a fantastic restaurant.
Most slopes are for beginners/average skiers, although there
is now also one black run next to some reds.
Vogel near Bohinj: This ski area you can reach by
car or train from Most na Soči; at the train station in Bohinj
there are ski busses which bring you to Vogel.
