It is a quiet location and the apartments are comfortable for a longer stay. In Kamno there is a cafe which is open each Friday and Saturdayevening. There is also a sportfield near which can be used. Kamno lies between Kobarid (5 km) and Tolmin (7 km) near the border of Italy and is a perfect starting point for different activities. On only 300 meters from Maharač are several beaches at the Soča-river.

Kamno is located at the border from the Triglav National Park, one of the largest Natural Parks in Europe. During the whole year a lot of activities are possible; walking, hiking, fly-fishing, almost all outdoor sports, kayaking, rafting, parasailing, skiing, (off road) motor cycling, mountain biking and swimming in the rivers Soča, Nadiža or Idrijca. The ski area Kanin and Crni Vrgh/Cerkno lays on 24 and 40 km. In Kamno is also a basketball field and a football field.

In the surroundings areas are several excellent restaurants, cafe's, supermarkets and well known museums. For the one's who like it there is in Kobarid a new Casino, Aurora, and Nova Gorica (40 km) is classed as the casino town of Slovenia.

The cities Cividale and Udine are just over the border with Italy (30-50 km from Kamno. Venice (170 km) is easy to reach by car and train.
